This series is the true inspiration behind this book blog. If this series were a religion, I’d be a devout TOG-ist (no, I’m not kidding). I’ll be posting reviews of each book eventually,  but until then, just know that they’re INCREDIBLE, and you should definitely read them if you’re AT ALL interested in YA Fantasy.

An oldie but a goodie. Eragon was one of the first series thattransported me out of the hum-drum of daily life and made me feel as though I were experiencing the action in real-time. If you’re a fan of dragons (hello- they’re on the cover), magic, evil kings, and all that good stuff, this series is for you. I will also be posting reviews of each individual book, so if you’re not sold yet, hold on to your butts.

Another example of a magical series, The Demon King is chock full of intrigue, beguiling characters, conniving snakes, and a hidden truth soon to be revealed. Have you ever wondered what magic school would be like if everyone knew it existed? If you’re looking for a magical action/adventure/mystery, this one’s for you. Or, if you’re more of a headlines-only kind of person, this series will also be getting some reviews on here, so hold tight.

Fans of magical romance, you’ve waited long enough. Onyx & Ivory, and its sequel, Shadow & Flame, are everything you need and more. A long-lost love, betrayal, despair, death… Absolutely everything an epic magical romance needs. Note the use of the word “magical” though. If you’re sensing a theme with my favorites, well-done, it wasn’t subtle, but there is a reason they’re my favorites. This series does read a bit faster than the others, so if you’re looking for something quick but powerful, I think this is your best bet. Same as the rest, I’ll be getting around to writing reviews for these 2 as well, so stay tuned!
